MTQ Engine Systems wanted an updated look and feel, good website functionality with online ordering and payment facilities for both new and existing customers. Central Queensland Distributors (CQD) is a wholesale distribution company which has been serving outback communities for over 20 years. Based in Gladstone, Queensland, they sell an extensive variety of products including hardware, kitchenware, tools, toys and other household goods, and specialise in the colours and styles favoured by the people in the outback. The company has expanded to include remote communities in Queensland, Northern Territory, Western Australia and South Australia.

CQD were wanting to build an eCommerce website to facilitate order-taking from existing customers and to attract potential new customers nationally. They were producing and delivering to customers, a product catalogue CD four times a year, which they found time consuming and costly, and generally the product catalogue CD was out of date as soon as it was delivered. CQD also have a large existing customer base and wanted to offer product specials and product promotions on a timely basis.
